Mat Schnitzer
Senior Project Manager
Mat is our Senior Project Manager, shepherding our team and our homeowners with the love of Jesus. He coordinates the weekly schedule, leads and assigns site visits, and manages his own jobs, while also keeping all of us on track, organized, cared for, and encouraged. His leadership has been a cornerstone in the growth and success of the construction division, and we are all strengthened by the way he models servant leadership.

Logan Strech
Project Manager
Logan was one of the first Project Managers to join our Construction team, and his genuine love for people is evident in everything he touches. In and out of work, he always goes above and beyond to love extravagantly and display the heart of Christ. Whether patiently training teenagers or earnestly assisting widowed homeowners, he truly sets an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Serving alongside Logan is a joy and privilege, and he challenges all of us to enter into deeper levels of grace and humility.

John Nicely
Project Manager & Licensed Excavator
John is one of our Project Managers and our licensed Excavator. We are grateful for his joy and steadfastness, as well as his heart to intentionally and purposefully share the love and hope of the Gospel. John is likely the most easygoing and even-tempered person you will ever meet, which are amazing traits to have in both construction and ministry. Watching him teach teenagers to operate heavy machinery during our Skilled Trades Summer Camp was a true testament to his enduring patience!

Josh Buffkin
Project Manager & Apprentice Plumber
Josh is one of our Project Managers, and he is also pursuing his Plumbing license. Most homeowners we work with are battling hard and heavy circumstances, but Josh never hesitates to run into the trenches, ready to proclaim the Lord’s redemptive nature over every person he encounters. He loves fiercely and leads with compassion and purpose, and we are all blessed by how quick he is to offer a helping hand or share a word of encouragement.

Kelly Roten
Administrative Director
Kelly is our Administrative Director, also known as the glue that holds us together. At a given time, our team can have upwards of 30 active housing projects, and Kelly has developed a system to keep us organized and efficient. She is often the first point of contact homeowners have with our team, and she always greets them with warmth, encouragement, and prayer. She also leads and coordinates our volunteer program, scheduling visits and casting vision so each volunteer group can learn about our mission and the homeowners they will be serving. We are incredibly grateful for her gifts of organization, encouragement, and intercession.

Hunter Rhodes
Accountant
Hunter is our rockstar Accountant, who quite literally keeps our ministry running. He entered into our half-completed spreadsheets and overwhelming question marks and quickly brought order to our chaos and method to our mayhem. While he tends to be more behind-the-scenes, he plays an important role in ensuring that we remain good stewards of everything the Lord entrusts us with. His quick wit, spiritual depth, and love for a good spreadsheet are staples on our team, and–as a local pastor–he shares our mission to see our community discipled and equipped to demonstrate the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Houston Sloan
Chaplain
Houston is one of our amazing in-house Chaplains, providing encouragement and spiritual guidance to our team through Biblical discipleship. All of our Project Managers willingly step into difficult and traumatic situations to walk alongside homeowners, and our chaplains make sure they have the care and support they need to navigate challenges and maintain a good work-life balance. Whether through song, prayer, or heart posture, Houston always carries worship into the workplace!

Sean O’Loughlin
Chaplain
Sean is one of our wonderful in-house chaplains, offering discipleship, guidance, and spiritual support to our Project Managers. He enjoys teaching the Bible and has been at it for quite some time now. He is passionate about seeing people grow in their faith and bringing light into dark situations, confident that our God is still in the business of touching lives and healing hearts. He also likes longs walks on the beach with his lovely partner-in-crime, Gracie, who is also an incredible teacher and speaker.

Matt Roten
President & CEO
Matt and Jordan co-founded Kingdom Overflow in 2020, and Matt currently serves as the President and CEO. His heart is to empower all believers to walk in the love of Christ and the power of Holy Spirit. In 2022, while seeking the Lord on how to best serve our community, Matt was led to pursue his Unlimited General Contractor’s License for both residential and commercial building as a way to meet tangible needs in the community while also equipping disciples to demonstrate the Gospel of the Kingdom.

Jordan Roten
COO & Discipleship Director
After co-founding Kingdom Overflow with Matt in 2020, Jordan now serves as our COO and Discipleship Director. She is passionate about seeing people live in the fullness of freedom that Christ offers, breaking strongholds and spiritual barriers through discipleship. She also enjoys teaching at local and regional Christian Women’s events, writing books and curriculums, and leading Women’s Bible Studies.
Hear from Our Team
Mat Schnitzer:
“When I first met Ron and Kylie, it was hard to know what to say. I remember standing in what used to be their master bedroom, while they shared their story, and all I could think to say in response was, ‘Do you mind if I just pray?’
I didn’t know how to bring hope into their lives, but I knew the Lord did. I also didn’t know that we would become part of the answer to that prayer. In the months since, it has been such an honor to journey with Ron & Kylie. To walk with them, laugh with them, cry with them - to truly carry their story in one of the hardest moments of their lives, and to say definitively that this is not the end. There is more to this story. God is not done writing it yet.
There is no greater joy than getting to provide that hope, especially because through the whole process they have become more than just clients, but dear friends. I feel immensely privileged to be part of a team committed to restoring and re-building not just homes, but the people who live in them, and I hope and pray that with each home we finish that the hearts of those living in it would be equally as restored, refreshed and renewed.”
Logan Strech:
“A few months ago, I had the opportunity to step into one of the most painful chapters of a woman’s life. Judith lost everything in the devastation from Hurricane Helene—her home, all of her belongings, and her sense of security. Walking into what was left of her house, you could feel the weight of that loss. But even more than that, we were stepping into her story—into her grief, her resilience.
Over time, as we’ve begun rebuilding her home, we also started to build a friendship. Through prayer, shared stories, laughter, and just showing up day after day, I’ve gotten to know Judith—her strength, her heart—and had the opportunity to remind her that she is not forgotten.
One of the biggest turning points was lifting her house and laying a brand new foundation—physically and symbolically. It was a powerful reminder that even after everything falls apart, God is in the business of rebuilding. Not just structures, but lives. Not just homes, but hearts.
The progress has been amazing, but more than anything, it’s been a story of hope—of watching the love of Jesus move through people, through hands that serve, and through a community that refuses to let someone walk through tragedy alone. Jesus always meets us in the rubble, and He rebuilds with love.”
John Nicely:
“When I first met Chris and Angela, I was left speechless after hearing about their terrifying evacuation. Angela shared how their kids hadn’t even been able to step foot in their backyard again and weren’t sure if they ever would.
Over the winter, I was able to work on their once-gorgeous backyard, regrading the landscape and installing a retaining wall, while also containing the large stream that now runs down toward their home. I felt honored to play a small role in the restoration of their home, bringing beauty to their backyard again.
Now that it’s warmed up, the grass is finally starting to sprout. Just recently, Angela told me that the last time they stopped by, the kids began to play in the backyard, jumping on the trampoline and playing in the creek. Hearing that nearly brought me to tears. Not only was new life beginning, but something lost was also being restored.
Joining them on their journey has been an honor and a blessing in my life. What a joy it is to be part of a team dedicated to rebuilding the High Country and beyond.”
Josh Buffkin:
“The things that have meant the most to me in this job have been fellowship with the crew and serving alongside some amazing volunteers.
I’m thankful for a team committed to bringing Christ into construction—which is not normally the most Godly environment—and being aware of His presence.
I also can’t say enough about the volunteers that we’ve been blessed to work with—people who left their busy lives and made time to show Gods love by helping others. You never know what you might run into on a job site, but they all come and get straight to work! One group actually helped pull me up out of one of my own spiritual battles.
I relate and have empathy with most of the people whose homes I have had the privilege of working on. I grew up in poverty in a coastal town where it was pretty common to get hit by hurricanes. I understand the power of hope, and it’s such an awesome privilege to be bringing Christ into these homes.
I love my job and the men and women I work with. This group is giving it all to get families back into their homes. We are all dedicated to our mission, and it’s the most gratifying job I’ve ever had. I thank Jesus for sending me to them!”
Kelly Roten:
“I joined the Kingdom Overflow team after Hurricane Helene. Quickly, I came to know that the people who work here have hearts drastically bent toward people and eyes focused on the Lord.
They willingly walk with people in the midst of trial and tragedy. Here, it’s not work; it’s serving. It’s not a job site; it’s a home and a family. It’s restoration. It’s the obvious restoring of homes but—more importantly—restoring safety, hope, and a knowledge that each homeowner matters deeply to our Creator.
It’s an honor to serve alongside these men and women and to be able to support them as they go out and serve local families!”
Hunter Rhodes:
“For centuries, Christians were the innovators and culture setters. In my lifetime, it seems that the church has ceded this ground, isolating and insulating from society and surrendering that ground to the enemy.
But I think things are changing, and I’m proud to be part of that change alongside the rest of the team here at Kingdom Overflow. It’s a huge joy to see the church mobilized and to be part of a team bringing the hope of the gospel of Jesus along with practical help in peoples’ time of greatest need.”
Houston Sloan:
“I feel deeply called to disciple and invest in others. My heart is to walk alongside those around me—sharing life with them and encouraging them to step fully into who the Lord has created them to be. This position with Kingdom Overflow allows me to live that out by spending intentional time with our Project Managers: walking with them, praying with them, and being present in their journeys. It’s both my responsibility and my joy to ensure they feel seen, heard, cared for, and most importantly, covered in prayer.
This ministry also allows me to hear stories and testimonies from people of all backgrounds and life situations—giving me the opportunity to pray over their unique experiences and circumstances. It’s a true privilege to stand in the gap for others and be someone who can reflect the heart of Christ.”
A Letter from Matt & Jordan

Over the past few years, as we faithfully prayed for the Kingdom realm to come down and manifest in tangible ways around the world, the Lord guided us into ministry. It started with small speaking events, nights of encouragement, Bible studies, and prayer groups—lifting our voices together to fill up homes and churches with the Word of God. And now, He has called us to step out in faith and believe for even bigger things.
As we pray for God’s mighty hand of power to move through us—His church—our desire is to see all believers become one in mind and heart, giving powerful testimonies of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. We want to see the restoration of the bride of Christ. We want to see chains broken and lives resurrected.
We pray that every single person reading this has an encounter with the resurrection power of Jesus Christ and that it manifests as the miracles, signs, and wonders they have been asking for so that they can have the opportunity to believe in a new and deeper way.
That kind of encounter is what gives us access to the faith and courage it takes to forsake everything else as we surrender to Jesus. That kind of encounter is what gives a hurting and broken world a taste of kindness from a faithful God. So Lord, may we taste and see that You are good! May we bear witness to the resurrected Christ. May we shout to those around us that Jesus is alive and so, so worthy of our surrendered life.
We also pray for the Lord to increase our boldness. For the things that have not yet come to pass, remove from our lips and hearts any religious excuses so that we do not diminish what Jesus has accomplished. Instead, teach us how to press in to You, Jesus. Let us fall on our faces and encounter You again. In ways we can’t deny. In ways we can’t stop talking about. Let us encounter You so clearly that we can no longer be silent about who You are and what You have done.
May the cry of our hearts be for Your Kingdom to reign, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Jesus taught: “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand!” And not once did He withhold the miracle. He never withheld Your kindness, God, because it is Your kindness that leads us to repentance. It is Your kindness, and love, and mercy that leads us to continuously change our minds and our perspectives—to adopt the mind of Christ—until we begin to understand that we live under an open Heaven. Until we recognize that the Kingdom of God is accessible, available, and within us. Ready to be released.
So we pray, oh God, for Heaven to meet earth.
And for the world to ignite.
