Our Goal
After Hurricane Helene devastated our beloved hometown of Boone, North Carolina, many local churches and organizations stepped up to provide immediate relief and support. Our heart is to continue their efforts and move forward into long-term recovery. We are committed to at least a three-year rebuild. For the first year of this initiative, our goal is to complete 60 housing projects.

TESTIMONIALS
Alice Roberts:
Like so many others, my mother’s home and property were ravaged by Hurricane Helene. Most importantly, she was physically unharmed. But her home of over 30 years was uninhabitable, and all her belongings were washed away, buried in mud, or ruined. As a single woman over the age of 70, she didn’t know what the future would hold for her, as she found herself overwhelmed by the thought and costs of having to rebuild or relocate.
She was introduced to Logan with Kingdom Overflow when he answered a call to help my sister, whose home was also affected during the storm. After meeting with my mother, Logan began immediately to enlist the resources of Kingdom Overflow to help her, even though the costs to rehabilitate her home would far outpace the insurance money she collected. Kingdom Overflow advocated for my mother with local donors, churches, and philanthropic groups to help fill the gap, and my mother’s home began to retake its shape under Logan’s direction and care.
Beyond the physical security Logan and Kingdom Overflow were able to re-establish for my mother by rebuilding her home, they also provided a sense of calm and reassurance during the process that she so desperately needed due to the immensity of the toll Helene took on her and the entire community. Logan was so attentive and patient with my mother that it is difficult for me to express how much gratitude I have for him throughout this journey. I often recall my sister’s impression of Logan after they first met. She called me to say she had just met an actual angel that walks the earth.
My heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Kingdom Overflow – and Logan, in particular – for all your dedication, purpose, and grace.
Ron Solis:
It has been 328 days since our home was submerged 6 feet under water due to Hurricane Helene. We were very fortunate that we walked away with our lives, but at the same time completely devastated that we lost our safe place and decades worth of irreplaceable sentimental items.
As we reflect and count our final days/weeks before we move back into our new home, we are beyond grateful to the entire team at Kingdom Overflow Ministries and countless volunteers that came out. Especially to Mat Schnitzer. He is Kingdom Overflow’s Senior Project Manager, but to me he’s our builder, healer, and now a lifelong friend. We couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you so much, Mat, for everything you’ve done for us and continue to do. And thank you to the entire team at Kingdom Overflow Ministries!
Tiffany Christian:
The team members were like angels who showed up everyday with kind and helpful dispositions to bless our family. They worked hard not to disrupt our daily lives. One of the guys even fell in love with our dog, and they were fast friends.
The work is above and beyond. Not only is it done with great skill but because each and every person wanted to show love in their work, there were little extras like fixing a broken exterior step, or moving rocks to help with landscaping that showed how much they cared about us as a family. They even asked if we liked the donated flooring—if the color and style were okay with us! We were so grateful to be receiving a floor, we couldn’t believe that our opinion even mattered.
The repairs done to our little mountain home, on a dirt road in Meat Camp, have the quality and beauty of fancy renovations in an expensive Blowing Rock home. They worked with excellence and diligence, showing the utmost honor and respect to us every step of the way.
Annemarie Figueroa:
We felt so blessed and seen by Kingdom Overflow and those that were able to work on our house! The whole partnership felt as if our own family was helping us. Even when unexpected things arose, Mat, his team, and outside resources came together to make sure we had all of our needs met.
The Lord truly used Kingdom Overflow and those that volunteered as a vessel to love us and our home well. There are simply not enough words to express our gratitude! It was an honor to have such a professional and loving organization help us in a time of need.
