Community Worship Night: Invite Him In

A special night of worship to invite Jesus in and support The Carter Family as they rebuild after a devastating house fire.

Join with families from across the High Country as we come together with our friends at The Gathering to host a community worship night. You can expect powerful worship, incredible testimonies about the goodness of God, and a time of prayer and Scripture reading as we focus on our theme to Invite Him In.

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” — Revelation 3:20

While this special night of worship is FREE, we will be raising funds for The Carter Family. This local family of four tragically lost their home and belongings in a house fire several weeks ago. 100% of the donations collected before and during this event will go toward supporting their efforts to rebuild.

Meet the Family

Jeb: Enjoys cooking and disc golf
Jessica: Loves reading and running
Analee (9): Loves art and soccer
Ashlyn (6): Enjoys gymnastics and caring for her “babies”

Jeb and Jessica have been married for 12 years and have two young girls, ages 9 and 6. Jeb runs a local family business delivering packaged firewood and bagged ice and Jessica is pursuing her Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education at ETSU, teaching at both ASU and ETSU, and homeschooling both of their girls.

When this couple lost their home in April 2024, the lives of each family member were instantly uprooted, and they have been working daily to reestablish routines and rhythms while also navigating the logistical challenges that result from dealing with their displacement and rebuilding process.

One of the most difficult challenges for them at present is the financial reality that their home was insured for purchase price rather than “cost of restoration.” In practical terms, there is a fiscal discrepancy between what they have received from insurance to rebuild and what it will cost in today’s economy to restore their home to its original condition.

Despite the numbers on paper, this family is standing firm in their belief, “But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Phillipians 4:19).
